Homeschooling

There are some parents who do not like what their
children are learning in the school and prefer to teach
them at home. Different countries have different rules
for homeschooling. In the U.S. there are 2 million
children in homeschooling community; there is not
much restriction in the UK; France regularly monitors
them; in Austria, they have to take annual tests; in
Sweden, parents have to get permission; in Spain and
Netherlands, it is allowed only under very exceptional
circumstances; in Germany, parents can be fined and
lose custody of their children for homeschooling them;
in Brazil, it is banned.Homeschooling parents want to
shield their children from negative influences. The
critics say that it could help foster the development
of a sect and nothing can replace the experience of
school. Of course it all depends on the parents and
whether they are able to manage it properly or not.

  1. In principle I'm not for homeschooling as s it cannot "replace the experience of school" . However, the situation in schools today is so terrible (no discipline) that parents who can afford it should seriously consider homeschooling their children.

  2. Homeschooling can be an emergency solution. But in civilized areas it spreads ideology.

  3. I agree, it is very good in emergency situations if parents are able enough... but it could lead to manipulation and sects. But violence and real threats are justified reasons in some regions to do so, as long as they are accompanied by a teacher on-line occasionally. That's what I think, anyway. Good topic Nice! 4. I have a recent experience with my 13years grand son who, due to a serious health problem, cannot attend school the last four months. He has been receiving the everyday lessons from a schoolmate of his and is studying everything at home. I must say that, when he was OK and was at school, he did not almost need at all to study anything at home, meaning that he was very closely following up his teachers and thus he was learning there everything. I want generally to say that, homeschooling varies, is different from child to child and also depends as to whether the parents can afford the help needed.
    Have a nice night.

  6. My son enjoys school and therefore I don't imagine him to be happier without it.

    To each their own ;)
